ELECTRICAL SERVICES: Make submission to the Electricity Distributor to determine requirements that may affect the project. If initial contact has been made with the Electrical Distributor it should be outlined in the Electrical Services trade section of the specification. Make all necessary applications to the Electricity Distributor for electricity supply on behalf of the property owner. Advise the Principal’s Authorised person should advice be received that the Electricity Distributor requires an easement be created or a lease granted for the Distributor’s assets. The scope of this contract includes payment by the contractor of all costs for electricity supply, including all monopoly costs and fees together with the costs of all contestable works. It should be stated in the Electrical Services trade section of this specification if the electrical design process has already included network analysis, payment of monopoly fees or design of electricity supply.

Site Access and Limitations

Working hours for work under the contract
Carry out demolition work, jack-hammering, compressor work, scabbling or grit blasting at times agreed with the Principal and the School Principal.
Site Management
For visits, inspections and work to be carried out, outside the Contractor’s Temporary Security Fence, the Contractor and their agents or representatives must present themselves to the school administration, show identification that confirms their association with the project and the purpose of the visit and comply with any instruction given by the school staff.

Identified Hazardous Substances
The Contractor is responsible for the control and decontamination of the hazardous substances identified in - > SCHEDULE TO PRELIMINARIES - SCHEDULE OF IDENTIFIED HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES”. All work to comply with the requirements specified in HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES - PRELIMINARIES.
Environmental Management Plan
The contractor must prepare a site specific Environmental Management Plan that must comply with the NSW Government Environmental Management Systems Guidelines (EMS Guidelines), available on the Internet at:
Temporary Services Provided by the Principal
If required, connect temporary water and electricity lines for the contract works to the School’s supplies. Make the connection at a time agreed with the School (through the Authorised Person) so that the operations of the School are not disrupted.
