As per current NATSPEC except as follows:

GUIDE NOTES: Chemical Barriers (AS 3660.1) are not permitted (mandatory) do not specify. Other alternative physical barriers are to be used. 

Note that only termite resistant timbers are to be used:

Naturally termite resistant timbers To AS 3660.1 Appendix C,

OR

preservative treated timber to the applicable hazard class to AS1604.1.

2.2 Chemical Soil Barriers
 

General
Chemical barriers including soil barriers and reticulation systems must not be used (Mandatory).

2.3 Non-Soil Matrix Barriers 

 

General
Chemical barriers including composite membranes incorporating a termicide and bedding mortar incorporating a termicide must not be used (Mandatory).

Paving
Paving next or close to buildings where termite barriers have been installed must be below the termite barrier to AS 3660.1.

General

Doorways: Provide effective termite barriers at all doorways in accordance with the manufacturer/suppliers written or drawn recommendations.

3.3 Completion 
 

GUIDE NOTE: Delete subcaluse "completion inspection" nominated in NATSPEC Building Professional Worksection and include the following:

Completion inspection
14 working days prior to completion, inspect the termite control systems and submit a report on their efficacy and status.
